International Symposium on Human Pepsin (ISHP)
The first ISHP was held in the City of York, United Kingdom in September 1999 to bring together scientists and clinicians from around the world to discuss and review the role of pepsin in reflux disease and its potential to damage the cells of the oesophagus, larynx and the airways.
The ISHP series has continued on an annual basis with symposia held both in the UK and the USA using an international faculty of speakers to present on a range of topics associated with pepsin and reflux disease.
The ISHP continues to attract an ever increasing multidisciplined number of delegates from basic scientists, otolaryngologists, internists, chests physicians, airway specialists, speech language pathologists, paediatricians and generalists.
